About Ed
Ed Stephens Jr. attended UCLA via the Navy ROTC program, and emerged with a degree in economics and the Distinguished Naval Graduate Award.
After graduation Ed went on active duty as a naval officer. After the Navy, he entered the civilian ranks of economic analysts and pilots. On the economics side of things, he specialized in quantitative modeling and forecasting for the HMO, energy, and aviation industries.

In 1996 Ed started an economic consultancy in Saipan, providing quantitative analysis to government and industry. In Saipan he also helped establish Micronesia's first FAA-approved helicopter air ambulance program.
Ed has been a columnist for the Saipan Tribune and for Private Pilot magazine. He has also been a contributor to the Pacific Flyer Aviation News and several other publications.
